Camper van insurance

Postby Nelbert » Sun May 12, 2013 10:51 am

Morning,Particularly gloomy here in Scotland not due only to the weather but to my insurance company.Problem is that have just finished converting my Mk7 Transit to a camper van, phoned insurance company to inform them and they instantly cancelled my policy cant cover any modifications completed by anyone other than the manufacturer. Has any one have the names of any insurers that would cover my van. Thanks Nelbert the fed up

So there you have it....You look for one and 3 come along all at once! Do yer shopping and your problem is solved. Oh yeah and although I'm not with em, I believe "shield" will also accommodate your insurance needs.

Insurance Choice are a good broker for this.

They have found me good cover for my self build Mk7 for the last two or three years. Currently covered by Aviva through them.

Sureterm for me, ben with them 4 yrs , my ins. Has genuinely gone down avg £10 a yr. 16 months ago i had an head on smash (not my fault), rang sureterm on the monday morning tuesday morning i had a brand new 5 berth motorhome on hire, had it 10 weeks, my van was wrote off, paid out 100% of van value, rang every 2days to see how we were, service was excellent. Just re newed same price as last year except van new van is just under twice the value.
