yes been reading all the updates :D - some great engineering has gone into it 8) - i might have been tempted to have a go at a rear slide out for my mk1 lwb camper but i didn't have the idea at the time, i would have had to have made just the back door side out really so i wouldn't have gained as much as yours :)

Well after hiring a couple of long wheel base merc's or transits while on holidays, was allways finding a normal carpark in the towns to park a problem which got me thinking.
Also they were pretty cramped in side.
So this idea came to be. Yes had its problems to solve, but is in that the challenge. ?.....lol
End result this, would I do it again? Probably, but make a few structural, changes to save time an weight.
Also some miner lay out changes.
Ariginal was to have drop bed from roof but head room is limited, next time maybe lift roof where bed goes so flush inside, yes higher, but no higher than roof vent , that would definitely be a option.
Any way for now time to enjoy and try an get some of the money invested
back........lol

While here has anyone converted an asm box to a fully automatic and what problems they come across.
Cheers be more pic when painted.
