Hi been head down back side up, now starting to see a few things happening.
Have in the ceiling, which was easy, foam backed vinyl on the walls, started on the cab area.
a row of over head lockers carcass ,also carcass under window which is part of the whole sliding system.
so sort of going to plan .lol

cor flute panel with chrome striping between, also see some one on here has also using it as well
its light the cor flute acts as well for insulating and good price per square meter.

just a few updates .
Her indoors was nagging about having a fixed out side table you can get as an after market thing for caravans.
didn't like the way they looked, one big plastic thing stuck on the side so built this. seem to work ok ,when painted be hard to notice its there, (well I hope).lol
Aslo some up dates from inside.

Looks superb mate, what material are you using for the cabinets?
I am about to sell my restored vintage caravan and get a Transit to convert it.
It will be my second conversion, I have done a Mazda T3500 bus few years ago.

hi
Thanks. cabinets are made from Eco board, reasonably light, easy to work with. not affected by water, rodents mice rats etc, able to be formed which has given me the freedom to have shaped cabinets/doors, also reasonably priced compared to light weight caravan ply. Also been white gives good light in small places and dark corners,
Down side is soft so dents easy with hard edged objects so if carting bike the like in side maybe not to suitable.
I live on the gold coast

well while building this we have had a few very hot weeks, was not going to put air conditioner on the van roof like most other builders but they are quite expensive for the time used and as we intend to bush camp most the time you would need generator to drive it as they 240v, so that idea out the window, but then mmmmmmmmmm cab has air conditioner fitted, so not sure how good these van air conditioners are as this one does not go(no Gas I think) so can anyone tell me how good these transit conditioners are, Are they designed just for the cabs or to cool down the whole van.or would it need further radiators in the back?
Be interested in any ones thoughts.

Making some good progress there.
My brother has a LWB mid roof and his aircon his beautiful and cold and would have no trouble cooling the whole van.
I myself have a SWB postie van and my aircon is ok but not as efficient as his and don't think it would cool the whole rear enough.
So I guess it will depend on how good the air con in your van is. Might as well re-gas yours to see if it functions properly.
