Cleaning fresh water tank?

hello!

My camper was stood for many years bofore I purchased so just giving it a good clean,
Luckily the water tank was drained before hand but is there any kind of non harmful cleaner I can run through the tank to kill off any bugs?
I don't plan to drink from tap. Just plate/face and tooth brushing etc.

You could try milton sterilising fluid. Its a little chlorinated i think but I've used it in restraunts to clean salad with.

+1 I use Milton in my 10ltr water container I use for work as I'm a tramping truck driver , or get the army rat pack tablets
