Does this work without needing to also swivel the driver seat? Please let me know.

Glad I've seen this. I was wanting rid of the double seat but this looks like they would be pretty useful in my van [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

GuyT.
No, the passenger seats swivel and slide to turn round clockwise- they don't spin on the spot- once the 4 bolts are released you turn and slide the seat until you are in the position you want. Doesn't foul on the handbrake or drivers seat

Thanks Banquo, thats great to know, thanks. I will order one of these in the new year then. I didnt want to spend the money only to find out it didnt work, that would have been a huge waste.

Thanks once again

Hi, I'm looking at this too, one thing that I'm confused about is the seat belt.the passenger seat belt nearest the window bolts to the seat, how does the seat swivel with the belt?

Hi, I was wondering what year of van this swivel base works for? We have a fully converted 2015 van & desperately want a double swivel plate but have been told that it's not available for the new style Transit. Has anyone installed a double seat swivel in a new van? Thanks!

Hi I have also just had my 2014 Transit Custom converted and really want to keep the double seat but changed to a swivel. I have contacted a few companies and received a message back from Customdesign shop. They advised that they are designing one that may be on the market in a few months. I am going to hang on for six months and if I still can't source one I may change to a single swivel to maximise the use ability of the camper. Good luck on sourcing one and please post if you find a supplier. Best wishes, Colin

Hi, we have had so many enquires through here over time regarding our double swivel base to fit a Transit Custom, so just thought it would be easier to just drop you guys a quick post on here.

Here is the brand new double seat swivel base designed by the Customshop team (Community Registered Design 001382212-0001) The Ford Transit custom double seat swivel base is the only crash tested double passenger swivel base on the market. The locking points work on a unique 1/4 turn 'quick release' system so removing all 4 fixing bolts and rotating the base takes literally seconds! They are manufactured in the UK and made from 4mm laser cut steel (raises the seat by 45mm), and has passed seat belt anchorage safety tests using a pull test on a specialist test rig to EC Directive 76/115/EEC as amended by 2005/41/EEC which is a standard requirement for insurance companies when making this type of modification to your camper van and also peace of mind for transporting your friends and family around. The base allows you to rotate the double passenger seat 180 degrees and lock the seat in the reverse position to completely transform the living area in your van. Fits all Transit models from 2013 onwards and is available in Left hand and Right hand drive versions. Fixes directly to the existing floor mounts so no drilling required, installation takes approximately 40 mins from start to completion.

I'm confused. Is this for the FORD TRANSIT or the FORD TRANSIT CUSTOM?
