WooHooo! Got our van back! :D New front discs and pads, new front battery, replacement drivers seat and new brake pipe to replace the corroded one that "slipped through the MOT". Indicators stopped working again at the garage and they cant fix it so have agreed that I can get my mate to sort them out (auto electrician) and they will pay! :D
He's popping round tomorrow, so all looking good. Once thats done I will feel settled with the van and can start getting her how we want for use as our day van/occasional overnighter.

Yep, got spring loaded cap, pins, and gonna fill it up with silicone once wiring installed. I think mi'm going to put it outside under the rear bumper a'la tow bar socket, and as you say, stick a plastic bag over it to help keep it clean and dry. Just thinking, maybe I could mount it in an upturned plastic box, then I could just put the lid on when not in use? Getting excited about doing stuff now we've got "Connie" back. :D

Pretty sure we haven't got that (or any right indicators  ), if you get a chance for a photo would be handy.

If not, just gonna fit the blue surface mount plug under the rear bumper and use a tube of silicone on it. it's got the spring close lid so as you say it should be o.k.

Might be losing the van again next week now as it looks like its got to go the the main dealer for the indicators. One more go then the garage we got it from can have it back and we'll go and get a movano! .......not really, just a mk7 that will outlast the three months warranty at least

Hi,

Mine is fitted n/s rear, just behind where the sliding door comes to.

When travelling the hook up lead fits in a box that slips under the passenger seat, when I'm hooked up I leave the box out on the floor and this reminds me to unhook before driving off "simples".

Regards,

Paul
