Switch under Transit Ambulance bonnet

Postby andytw » Sat Jan 07, 2017 11:21 am

Hi,

Friend has just acquired an ambulance converted to a camper. We are just trying to make sense of what's what.
Is the red switch on the right of the image anything more then just a leisure battery isolator.
This is an image from the web but looks the same as the friend has.
Looks like the switch is part of the original ambulance build.

Thanks

Yes, that's the battery isolator there will be a red push button in the cab to switch it off, then it's reset using the handle

It's the same type of isolator fitted to tankers as ake said it just saves them opening the bonnet to turn it off and on
just follow the onscreen instructions and it's fairly idiot proof...trouble is, we keep producing better idiots
