Can anyone give me advice on labelling the rear of my Ford Custom Double Cab 66 plate van?

Decide which way is best use off the 8x4 sheet and cut it to height so you can get it in then scribe them so they follow the shape neatly

Or get a ready cut kit off eBay if you are short on time or no good at wood work

Thanks folks. I have ready cut ply from ebay. Is this easy to fix to van? I may sound stupid here but nervous of doing damage to my nice new van. Never attempted this before and totally new to this. I can have someone to do it for me but I want to do it myself to get experience.

This is my new van and love it. I have a few transfers on it and added some chrome. Alloy wheels to follow next year as they do not come cheap.Image

Whacha got in the back ? Seat's n stuff?

Just drill some 3mm holes and screw it on
As long as you don't drill through to the outside all is good ,perfect
If its the roof liner you use 6mm plastic rivets btw the holes are already up there

What I do when drilling and do not want to drill into the outer skin of the van is to get some masking tape and run it round the shank of the drill I do it thick enough is that if you are using a bit of force to push the drill thro as it breaks thro it will not hit the outer panel.allso before you start make sure you know where all the van wireing is you don't whant to put a drill of screw into the loom

Dumper is right - be VERY careful you don't drill into any wiring!

Try the toothpaste trick for marking holes on the panels. Put little blobs of toothpaste on the sides of the van where you want to drill the holes, then press the panel against the wall. Take it away and you will have a bunch of white dots on the back of the panel.

Drill the holes through the toothpaste dots on the panel, then put the panel back on the wall and drill self cutting screws through the panel holes.

Alternatively dril them oversize and use trim clips instead.

Don't go overkill on the screws - you only need a half a dozen or so to hold a panel in place, not one every six inches!

I always work out where the wiring runs marking it with tape if it starts getting hard to remember then I work out what height to drill then pilot drill the boards then offer the panel up and use self drillers so you can't drill out the side of the van then unscrew and hover up the metal shavings then refit :D
