Single front to double

Postby SteveClay » Mon Jun 05, 2017 8:48 pm

Hi, I have a mk7 based coach built motorhome and I want to put a recently purchased double seat in the front for when we cart grandkids about.

I understand the holes all line up but the double seat base has a 5th hole at the rear, what size bolt is required for this and also what size bolt is required for the double seat belt stalk?

Thanks steve

Hi,
I've just done the opposite, ie taken the double seat out to replace with a single swivel seat.
I can tell you the rear seat bolt is slightly larger than the others, so poss 12mm, but the problem is I think it's a weird thread.
It's certainly not the normal 12mm thread, it could be 12mm fine (don't take my word for it)
My seat belt stalk bolt was the same as the seat mounting bolts.

There was no captive nut in puk so we used bolts, nuts and plates
