Bit of advice on Transit Herald Camper

Postby Stevebrookman » Sun May 27, 2018 5:53 pm

Afternoon all,

Going to look at this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192551276549?ul_noapp=true

Based on a 1995 Transit. Apart from rust and damp (have a damp meter) anything particular mechanically for this year Transit. It's a 2500 diesel.

Any advice, as always, greatly appreciated.

Regards

If it starts and stops and runs smooth and all the controls feel good then I'd be looking for rust tbh, I had a smily banana van and serviced it etc I added a power steering rack to it. Great van.

I presume this 1 is based on a chassis cab? If so I would be very interested in the condition of the chassis rails! (I don't know a lot about campers though so may be totally wrong there)

The back end will be grp or whatever won't it :-)
