We have a caravan - and I made the camper bed with the same dimensions... The other bed cushion fits onto the worktop for a second 'make shift bed.

looking mint 8) 8) and i like the numberplate too 8)

what you can do with the bed base is get some flat braid stuff (not sure what its called) glue of staple it on when its in the open position so all the latts roll up when its out but when you come to refit it you just open it out and it fits in seconds :D my old camper was like that :D

Thanks for the advice on the bed Luke..

The silver tape is aluminium tape which holds one broken side together till I get a new/used one. I taped the other side to match.

I was reversing into a pitch with the caravan on... and a branch from a sturdy bush managed to get into the small gap next to the front wing and flick it off.

I was getting directed by the wife at the time!!! I had to buy 2 pieces of fillet steak... one for me.. the other to reduce the wifes swelling

Hi,
First off very very nice work,Im thinking of doing the same to my mk6.
Read that you where thinking of fitting an inverter,I got one in mine and used it for the first time last week.Took the caravan to Chester, used the inverter with the van running for about 1 hour. The next day went for a drive and noticed white smoke from the exhaust for about 2 miles. It did clear but I wont do that again and Im going to get a genny instead.
Keep up the good work and keep the pics comming

WoW... dont know how that happened to yours with the white smoke

Someone on here might know :?:

My leisure batteries (2), which is where the 500w inverter is hard wired to -- is separate to the main transit battery, except for the single charging wire via a SmartCom unit.

I fitted a smoke alarm too... just to be on the safe side while the black sheep is being slept off 8)

Thanks for the nice comments :)

bought some for my van, it's just like daylight, and no flickering or yellow light like you get with flourescent.

Thanks Mate,

The window was advertised on here... in the transit parts for sale section.. £25. Bargain.

Took about hour to fit.

Might be selling soon.. to fund a coach conversion.
