Hello from the Isle of Wight

Postby philj » Sat Aug 18, 2018 8:37 pm

Hi i'm Phil, and I currently live on the Isle of Wight...

Ive had many transits over the years, from Mk1 to Mk5, but in some sort of retro backlash, I bought a Mk3 2.0l petrol Autohomes, coachbuilt camper... that weighs about the same as the Isle of Wight...

The transit bit was just fine, but the coachbuilt part, well, I can see why Autohomes no longer exist, and Ford still do...

Just done 2300 miles around the UK, and used all of the petrol in the world, and destroyed my hearing with a screaming pinto... so the idea is to convert to diesel...

I look forward to reading all of the horror stories...

Welcome to the forum :D

If you were deafened by a Pinto, you might find that a Di diesel is even worse  Essex V6 may be an option
1994 Mk4 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (R.I.P.)
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered
