New mk7 from Denmark

Postby Kristianskaffe » Mon Jan 30, 2017 10:40 pm

Hi everyone,

Just bought an 2006 Transit, 2,4 TDCI. Here in Denmark it´s called 350L, but I don´t know if that´s the same code all over. Is called WF0XXXTTFX6J7....
As cars here in DK is so expensive, I´m so happy to have made a good deal and now I have some money to spend on it.
The seller left a brand new clutch and flywheel from Lük and Sachs so that´s going to be fitted. It uses water, and I have been warned that it maybe has blown the head gasket. My mechanic is a good friend, and he is not so worried, since we are doing a full refurb.
Vantuner is not an option here in DK, but do you all have the EGR blanked? I have the EGR blanked in my Vectra and that seems to work.... along with the tuning that is..

New brakes and discs is needed too but all in all it looks quite ok :) It has not been washed for 1 year by previous owner.

So now I´m looking for the must have upgrades and hope you will help:
If I need to make a new thread I will do that :)

HID - These?

Interior lights - these?

Reversing camera - this?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/5fn/reverse- ... B013F9PKI4

I need new floormats and I going for rubber. Any recommendations?

New HU
The old one i missing the code and I don´t think the Ford here in Denmark is going to help. When I had my Galaxy 2007 the were not much of any help :(
Do any of you have any experience with the Xtrons? Seems to be ok value for money.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTRONS-Androi ... SwUKxYda2u with all the options.

Please give me your best tips and tricks

Best regards from Denmark!

Kristian

Ye, the seller told me it hadn't moved for 6 months :) Took a loooong time to charge the batteries, just to get it started :)
Now I'm anxious to see if it need a new head gasket... I think it does, but as it need new clutch and FW, I guess I'm going for it.. Nice chance to get everything checked and cleaned too.

Stuff bought the last couple of days:

Floormats from Germany, genuine stuff.
EGR blanking plate
Hub caps, new ones
4 used, but in good condition, steel 16" wheels
12v LED lights to go in the back
HID´s, 35w, 5000k
Haynes workshop manual
Pins for removing the radio (i´ll start with putting in the code when I get the serialnumber from the unit)
4 x disc brakes with new pads and all
IDS

Still very much wanting the Xtrons unit, android 6.0 with camera for when reversing and DAB+ and 3G :) anyone has experience with these units?

Head gaskets are pretty Bullitt proof, I believe the egr needs to be deleted from the pcm (ecu) if you are putting a blanking plate in. N

Yeah, turned out that my mechanic couldn´t find anything wrong with the head gasket. I think it´s suffering from something else.
EGR-blank is for when I´m getting it remapped :) But thanks... Guess my the IDS (forgot to add it to the list) can delete the EGR... for a test

Update to the list of stuff :)

The lift is now in the house. Needs to be fitted when I´m done with the interior in the back :)
I´ve tried it on a Crafter and it works like a charm :)
