I've just bought MK6 (2000) 120 T350 in pretty bad condition. It was cheap and runs pretty well, it has 2.4 RWD, starts like a charm and... that's all good I can talk about it right now. Rest of it is crap. Rusted bottom, lots of metal to replace, broken exhaust, almost all electrics not working, whole suspension to rework and many, many more. I'd say it has plenty room for improvement but this car is essentially built with room for improvement. There's nothing what can be left not improved
Anyways, together with my friend we'll be rebuilding and adapting it to hi-tec camper van so there's long way before this project is finished. I'd say ~2 years of weekend works. Still have to find proper place for workshop as we don't have any
I'll be probably quite often here looking for help as there's a lot to do with it. I thought about creating two general topics regarding our makeover. First one somewhere over here to track everything from start to moment, when it's ready to go on road and can be legally registered. From this point we'll switch from plain technical fixes to camper conversion, so then I'd move to new thread in Camper vans and conversions to track any modifications done.
So, let's the adventure begin!
