Aloha, just bought my first van.. a rusting blue transit connect with a whopping 75bhp engine! An opportunist buy with no real idea what to do with it :lol:

nope, never welded anything but would love to give it a go.. hoping the rust isnt quite as bad as it seems, need to attack it with a grinder! :evil: so far i have just been cleaning the old girl up, bit of tlc :D

Use 1 of those flappy wheels in the grinder mind you.
The less good metal you remove the better.
Good metal = shiny.
Bad metal = brown :wink:

unless your van is brown then it's ok.
