Hi All!

I've just taken on a Transit Project at work. It's a 2003 SWB MK6 Low Roof. It looks in a sorry state, covered in dents, and was completely rotten in the usual places, however I have had all the sills welded with repair panels and sorted and it is now MOT'd. I now have the task of making it look great again. Normally I wouldn't bother however this Transit only has 41,000 miles and drives like brand new. Pulls cleanly, great steering suspension etc. I'm sure there can't be many around on an 03 with 41k. I'm here to hopefully update you on the progress of it as well as ask advice along the way. I have a donor Van with 250k to use, it's the wrong colour but stands me at £100 as was traded in at work much like the 41k van. Wish me Luck!

Thanks Altransit. Do you happen to know anything about fitting Electric Windows into a mk6 that left the factory with Windy Windows? TIA

Sadly not, I didn't fit any in my Mk6 as the rust issues were going to shorten its life

I did fit them in the Mk7 and it was just fit them and plug-n-play the wiring, which was luckily already there. I think that if you look in the fuse box, where the relays should be, if the pins are all in place, then you may well have all the wiring already :)

I'm pretty sure that if you use the search function, there must be at least one thread detailing how to do this
