Dear,
I just want to say hi! Since a few hours I'm the proud owner of a Ford Transit MK2 '82 Diesel. Some of you might have spotted it on the car and classic website (https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C990094) earlier this month. I decided to have a go for it and have it transported to my place, The Netherlands. Today it arrived by transporter and it is just like the advertisement. It needs some proper attention, the engine does not run and there are no keys with it. Luckely the previous owner dropped in a spare engine in the back which should be OK.
Old cars are not new to me. I own several BMW 02's (1502, 2002, 2000 Touring) and as a daily driver I have my E39 530i. If my first cars wasn't a BMW I would definetly be driving Ford. Because BMW never made a proper van, I had to switch to Ford. Not sure what I'm going to do with it for now, but I think it will become van for the holidays.
First things first, find some keys or locks and check why the engine isn't running. If the engine is really too far gone I''ll might swap to a modern Petrol engine which will become quite a challenge as well.
Talk soon!
Cheers,
Tom
