Parts needed to finish it off!

Look in here for details of the fourms weekend makeover project. We will be doing a Transit restoration project over a few weekends and auctioning it off for charity once completed. Everyone is welcome to come along and take part.

Shall we use rattle cans then or anyone got a couple of primer used guns.Will the white be the same as the paint we already have/had??

i wouldnt go as far as saying 1 can per wheel but id say about half a can per wheel maby so thats 3 cans...mabey 4 to be on the safe side

Some Red primer.One primer,one topcoat for each wheel??Ideally one laquer for each wheel.

i wouldnt use red it might show through the white a bit..id use grey primer

what form is the paint in from the van...can/tin/for compressor use?

from prevous experience, red primer needs more top coat to stop it showing through it you know what i mean but its up to you, what ever you have will work fine :)

I will put this all over the forum until we solve the problem!
We need a pair of front spring hangers for the makeover van, all the suppliers that I have access to are showing no stock with no anticipated delivery date :!:
We need these parts.
If any of you have any suppliers you know of that might have these parts, we need two, in stock please contact them as there appears to be a global shortage :!:
The front spring hangers are NOT handed, ie. left/right and are the same on Mk3, Mk4 and Mk5 models.
If anyone locates any, please pm Luke or myself

problem is the delivery dates :? - ive rung up the 2nd one to see if we buy them we can have them delivered before this weekend but i didnt get through so i left a message on the answerphone :)

if anyone on the fourm has any that we could get to the build then we can order some off ebay to be delivered to replace the one/ones donated :idea:
