I have replied to Consul-ute and suggested a Makeover for the weekend of 19th and 20th May in Reading. This will give us a chance hopefully to get all the parts needed and fitted to the van ready for that MOT.What do you all reckon.

I have the front spring hanger, Luke had it delivered to me.
I have both rear doors and the side door also the bonnet.
Luke has ordered the paint for me, we have none left from the original build.
I will be painting the panels and modifying the left hand rear door to loose the rear numberplate recess.
I will be having a weekend 'workshop' when the paintwork on these panels will be carried out.
Anyone wishing to attend and lend a hand, perhaps 'brush up' on your bodywork/painting skills or just 'have a go' will be welcome to attend.
This will be an ideal opportunity for you diy'ers to learn and practice skills that will no doubt be of use to you when working on your own vehicle, and assist in the completion of the makeover van.
Anyone interested should pm me, if you include 'dates to be avoided', I will endeavor to select a weekend that includes you all.
Please note, ALL will be welcome, Newbies and Old Faces alike so please do not be shy and feel that there is no place for you if you have not yet been involved.

I have a pair of non electric mirrors which I paid £1 for (+time +diesel etc) which I got for the build, one has a slightly broken back but other than that they are in good nick and won't need any wiring up!

The thought of "The King" in his leather gauntlets and face mask might even tempt Bigjohnthomas to the Makeover. Not too sure I`m up for a whole weekend of arsewashing though.
