Do NOT reply to this, search private parking fines on the net. You have not agreed to any contract and the penalty is un-enforceable. It is in fact an invoice made to look like a PCN and as you did not enter into a purchas agreement then you can IGNORE it

errm most services have sodding great signs about the charges and when entering you agree to the t&cs etc

There's nothing that shouts "Poor Workmanship" more than wrinkles in the Gaffer tape.....

this is what i said.

pcn 290004/543008

i reject this fine due to your sinage being poor and a clear breach of data protection acts and i had moved from the hgv parking too the coach/caravan parking, wich would bind a total of x4hr parking.

also there was no fpn placed to the said vehicle (wich is req by law)

And the law stipulates that
A notice to the driver must be given before the vehicle is removed from the land in question (and while it is stationary) by affixing it to the vehicle or by handing it to a person appearing to be in charge of the vehicle.

What that means in practice is that the ability to pursue the registered keeper can’t be used where enforcement is solely by means of ANPR cameras with automated notices sent by post afterwards. To be able to recover charges from the keeper, the car (or the driver) has to be ticketed while on the premises.
i also req from you proof of your staff being SIA licensed, I can advise that if a parking company are using employees to monitor footage, the individuals would be required to be SIA licensed.

copys of emails sent too you kept as evidence should this go to court.
many thanks.
colin.

ps,

forgot too say (if this helps) that stay at the services was done for charity and a 380 mile round trip, completely FREE.

thanks colin.

The hassle will come if you use any of their places in the future as your motor is now on their computer file.

I loathe this country.

Nice one,
what i mean about hassle is stuff like getting clamped at some other place of theirs such as London airport or wherever, this has happened to others on non-payment lists.

dont waste your time Colin, it is an invoice, pure and simple, and it is not enforceable. They will threaten you with DCA's etc, just ignore them as entering into correspondance will just bring more agro.

I have had plenty of these things from various motorway services, our local Tesco even does it! I have ignored them and never had any problems! If we do the weekend makeover at my place, we can all use them as toilet paper!
