Makeover 3 - No excuses

Postby AlanN » Sun Aug 14, 2011 9:19 pm

The make over is coming to Essex, so excuses for the locals to lend a hand, even if its for a few hours. The venue will be Fordboynicks workshop, close to the village of Battlesbridge, just off the A130 near Wickford, address will confirmed later in the week, over next weekend 21st and 22nd. This is the last weekend before Transitmania, so your help would be really appriciated to help with the completion as best we can.
Further details will be added during the week :D

Can't make that weekend Alan...

But when it comes to bodywork I am more of a hinderance than help! The chassis still needs some welding doing, especially where the new meets the old.

All the outer body welding is done (except a patch is needed on the rear valance), but we still need a lot of filler and sanding back.

Rear floor panel needs making and welding, wheel arches need boxing in, there is also still a lot of welding underneath required (especially where the new chassis meets the old and old bits need boxing in).

Paint still needed, then assembly and interior putting in...

If we don`t get everything else done first Interior could be 6,7,8,?? Engine and bay needs cleaning properly.Needs paint then wiring for whatever we want inside. All ancillaries...........screen,all glass, lighting, dash wiring and mods.Seats and belts, rear brakes and everything needed for MOT.It just doesn`t happen with five or six people turning up.I am not available this weekend, neither is Matt and probably no Luke. Not sure about Andrew. Please don`t leave it all up to Nick,Alan,Tim and Robbie C.We didn`t get any of the parts that were listed as donated items this time.perhaps they will be there this weekend or at Billing.
Good luck to all that are there and I`ll catch up with you at Mania.
