Parts needed to finish it off!

Postby Luke » Sat Sep 10, 2011 12:39 pm

right ive locked the old parts request thread here  viewtopic.php?f=63&t=72414&start=45

so we can start a new one :D - we need to concentraite on stuff to actually get it MOT'd and finished - we can still add bits and extras but the aim of makeover 4 is to have the van MOT'd

we'll need to make sure we have all there before we start - if we dont get them donated we'll need to buy them :)

parts i can think of so far

mk6 rear brake shoes
brake pipes
brake line 'tee' piece

enough sheet to plate the rear floor

sure there must be more :|

Still after those 10 wheelnuts from Mk6.Assuming that twin wheeled Mk6 ARE different size.
Windscreen wipers.
Check wiring,lights,indicators,horn etc.
Seats and seat boxes, belts. Will it make adifference to DVLA changing from double to single passenger seat.

wheel nut wise what we need are 10 mk6 huts with a 60 degree taper on to suit the wheels we have :D

seats i cant see making a difference to DVLA we could do with another drivers seat to match it up as 2 single seats

Sorted...

Remind me to bring the wheels - having said that if I forget its only about 100 miles round trip to go and get them...

my m8 did have the middle section to the floor sections i brought to billing
i cant remember if he used them or not as his van had the middle of the floor cut for transporting a bike
ill have to go on a quick visit (will have to be quick b4 he gets me roped into doing somthing on his van)
as he swapped his transit for a dreaded sprinter
if its got tits or wheels its always gonna end in trouble !!!
anyone can restore a van but it takes a real man to chop it up !!!

looks a good small 3 wheeled van. it being a day van type wouldnt it a good ider to have some windows in the the side like in the side door ?

love to see it all done at the end.

but dont you have to have it tested as it need the max wieght for the 3 axal?

come along to the 4th weekend in Reading :D

we wont need to alter the weight it'll actually be able to carry less due to the extra weight of the axle - but thats not a problem as it's a 100 anyway it'll be fine for a dayvan - and we think leaving it with no windows gives the eventual owner a choice, if we fit windows now theres no easy going back
