Has anyone noticed that the dash vents cannot be closed?

Was seeing some photos and if i'm not mistaken the dash vents cannot be closed individually, or am i mistaken?
Can someone confirm it?

They are closed by pointing the vent down. Cheaper to produce that way

yes they do close fully...well they do on minibusses on the dashboard..workhorse at jlr which we had for 8 months now is doing ok..bad bit is sidelight bulbs dont last very long

Quite a common problem on some new vehicles. Make sure lights are off before starting or change to LED`s.

Only problem is that latest transits have drl's and stupid ford made them so they turn on before the engine turns on instead of the drl's turn on a second after the engine has started.
