Adblue level?

Postby siraff » Thu Jul 05, 2018 2:02 pm

Is there any way to check this in the obc? All I can find is a message saying "ok".
It would be nice to know where I'm at with it.

When it’s low you will get a system message. It pops up with a range to empty, I think it’s something like 1000 mile warning. So plenty of time to refill with adblue.

Shame there isn't a level gauge.
How much does the tank hold?
I usually leave fuel until the light then brim it but if it's low and I'm near a station I'll fill it anyway.
Planning on doing similar with adblue.
Almost 4k miles on it now though and no warnings.
The thing in the trip comp just says adblue level ok.

Adblue tank holds 21 liters.

Hi

Mine came on at 5K miles after the other half slammed the brakes on after missing a turn off in the Lakes :) it said I'd 1500 miles left I think and the message kept coming on each time I started the van, so topped it up with 10L, so see how long that lasts, Costco do a 5L bottle for about £5 which I thought was quite cheap, think it's cheaper if you but at the pump

Mine takes 10 litres every 3 thousand miles so far.

It's a shame the rank isn't slightly bigger so you can fit 20 litres in when the light comes on.
Since they sell it in 10 litres tube, it's hard to fill it up.

The last time mine came on it said 700 miles to running out I put 20 lts in the first time it cane on at 370 mls to go it doesn’t seem like the warning is very accurate as the tank is only supposed to take 20 lts

My warning came on at 5000 miles. Said 1500 to running out. Plenty of time I think :D

Finally got the warning while on holiday (typical) at around 5k miles.
Funny thing was the first warning said 592 miles until no start which then went all the way down to 190-odd miles within around 150 miles.
Looks like it's about as realistic as the miles to empty on the fuel tank.
Chucked a 10l bottle in it but I would prefer to fill it. I'll pop and get some more when it's back from the dealers again.

I put 10lts in every 2500 miles because I like to keep in topped up. Sometimes it won’t all go in but after few hundred miles more it then does
