My 15 plate 28000miles is doing the exact same thing took it down to the local garage and their diagnosis was the air mass sensor?? But he said the best thing I could do was take it to ford as it would still be under warranty.

I'm booking it in asap and will post up the outcome.

Why did you not go straight to Ford in the first place?

Because people don't think (and you tend to hate your dealers).

I wouldn't allow anyone besides ford to touch my van.
It's under a 5 year warranty or 150 000 km and if it brakes down (puncture, limp mode etc) I have free assistance from ford themselves.

Because it was xmas and ford (perrys) were shut so popped down to a garage that does mobile repairs for hgv's and they popped it on their machine free of charge.

Im having virtually same issue on my 2013 transit intermittent power train light coming on along side limp mode.
Turn vehicle off and on fault disappears, mines a 2.2 diesel.
I changed the EGR valve but no luck with fix.
Any body had any joy with this fault?

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago. Went into limp mode when over taking on the motorway.
Turned out to be the fuel filter of all thing s.
