This is what I'd be using to make my case. Warning you 200 miles after you've filled the adblue tank shows that there's a problem.

Yes my thoughts as well

How much adblue do you use to fill the tank every time you fill the adblue tank?

Interesting.

According to the brochure it only holds 22 liters.

40 litres?! Are you sure? Mine only holds 21 litres! Your not putting adblue in the diesel tank, are you?

Yep, manual says 22l too, I wonder where he's putting it? But if he was putting it in the fuel tank it wouldn't turn off the low level warning :?

I believe there is a disclaimer in owners handbook, advising not to overfill, due to expansion of adblue should it freeze.
(And bust the tank)
So 19L is max fill, tho it may be listed as holding 22,check your handbooks.

It is 20 litres sorry. I use a tank to fill from with no gauge so was guessing. Been to ford about it, they've had it in bits, fit a new adblue sender unit, same problem, they've now decided that between 2000-3500 miles is about normal and they don't know where they got 6000 miles from

Lets just say 3000 miles is normal as mine takes a full tank every 3000 miles so at least its on par with mine and others that i know.

We were told that it only sprays in whilst the engine is getting warm and then it cuts off but that's on wagons I don't know about the vans

I've got 2 MK8 2.2 125ps and they average 5k before the dash asks for AdBlue.
I buy it from Eurocarparts when they have a 30% sale on (every few days at the moment!). It works out at £9.79 for 10 litres inc vat.

Hi
I have just purchased a transit and was told by the salesman that the adblue would last about a year 9000 miles, The light has now come on at 1800 miles saying that I have about 1200 miles to go, spoke to dealers service dept and they say 3k is about right and sales man has left!! so they cant ask him about what he told me. so not happy with dealers any more as sales seem to say what they want to get a sale.
