has anyone ordered/bought the new auto tranny?

Postby motovanner » Thu Jan 19, 2017 1:27 am

considering ordering a new van - the L3H2 170 with auto tranny.

its frustrating that its only avail on the 350 version - the 310/330 payload and fwd would have suited me way better - wonder if they will extend it to these in future? ( or if sales are poor remove the auto tranny option ).

does anyone know is this a conventional torque - converter 6 spd or one of the newer dual-clutch types?

any good deals worth looking out for? ( and dont say manual haha - genuine need for the auto )

thanks!

What country are you in? IIRC the auto was initially going to be offered in FWD vans only. It's a torque convertor box that it shares with the Custom, only the Connect has the twin clutch box.

Actually the auto tranny offered in the large transit is the same one used in the usa transit, its a conventional torque converter tranny. We cant expect a dual clutch tranny any time before the transit is facelifted or a totally new van is out (10 years)
