what most people don't take into consideration when buying transits is axl ratios , they will make a hell of a difference , a lot of transits are fitted with towing axles which have all low down speed but are useless for motorway fuel economy but people buy them without having a clue, my new jumbo is a 3.15 ratio and at 60mph is less than 2000 revs , I have hit fords figures on my last 4 transits and for a loaded jumbo that lets face it is like a big block of cheese I think anything over 32 mpg is goodstevo wrote:So much for progress, my mk6 does 35 mpg around town, on a run it's close to 40.
