350 long wheelbase medium roof running at 3.5tons all the time over 19565miles used 3536.66 litres.
works out at 25.52mpg

Because it is so high geared there are a lot of days 6th is never used and even 5th only sometimes as not good roads

About 1mpg better than my old 2.4 mk6

I drive mk7 2.2 lwb medium roof and sitting at 70mph I get around 33-35mpg but if on a fuel save run and sit at 56-60 I get 39-40 mpg and the engines done 311000mls, think I'll be sticking to mk7's

Really?!?!??
I've just bought a sprinter 16 plate with 1500 lines on compared to our mk6 90 it's chalk and cheese.
OMG in the mk6 was 28-32 average 29
In the sprinter is average 35!!!
With the other day average speed of 50 had the trip at 41 mph without trying.

Mine has improved a bit from the 22mpg I was getting at first. It's now claiming around 30mpg, I've not calculated it but I imagine that's around 26mpg in real life. I get about 450 miles to a tank. A bit worse than my Mk7 (which was itself about 100 miles per tank worse than the previous Mk7) but not as bad as it first appeared.

It is very easy to get caught short in though. On the old one I mostly kept an eye on the trip mileage and the miles to zero.

It worked very well, the information was always there and it was second nature. The fuel gauge was clear and visible too. I find it very difficult to keep a handle on the fuel on the new one.

73425km in my 2016 Custom with the top spec engine (only option we get here), air-conditioning on all the time and according to the dash and my fuel bill I'm averaging 9.3L/100km with an average speed of 31km/h. I'm a sprint courier doing a fair whack of round town short trips with some distance stuff thrown in. I actually thought I'd get better economy out of it tbh.

So much for progress, my mk6 does 35 mpg around town, on a run it's close to 40. These figures on mpg quoted by ford appear to be complete bollocks.

what most people don't take into consideration when buying transits is axl ratios , they will make a hell of a difference , a lot of transits are fitted with towing axles which have all low down speed but are useless for motorway fuel economy but people buy them without having a clue, my new jumbo is a 3.15 ratio and at 60mph is less than 2000 revs , I have hit fords figures on my last 4 transits and for a loaded jumbo that lets face it is like a big block of cheese I think anything over 32 mpg is good
