Towing Mirrors

Postby Navigator » Sun May 14, 2017 9:15 am

Hello All,

New to the forum and the transit, slowly converting to a day/night van is the aim.

I've struggled to find any towing mirrors for the mk8 that fit. I've seen wider mirrors on some transit tippers, but unsure if that would the best option if I find where you can buy them or whether to find some extension mirrors to just have on when towing.

Has anyone else had a similar situation, any suggestions?

Thanks

Never seen towing mirrors on a transit but when I did my Hgv class ont the fist thing I was tort was to move your body and head on the seat to get a different angle in the mirror to get a better view of the trailer..

Mainly when on motorways I would prefer to see further back past the trailler, moving in the seat doesn't help unfortunately :(

If you use the same trailer all the time why not fit a reverseing camera on it and have it on all the time

It is the same trailer yes, will look in to a rear view camera good call, I think reversing cameras burn out if on continuously (what the garage said about the one on the van anyhow) but you must be able to get a rear view one designed to always be on
