Load bay ply trim, genuine individual or aftermarket panels?

Postby Timpo » Tue Jun 27, 2017 12:21 am

Looking at purchasing a brand new Mk8 L3H2 310, and the specs seem to vary from dealer to dealer.
I have seen one 'Base' model with individual panels factory fitted in the load bay, and a very tidy job I must admit.... and I have seen many a 'Trend' model with only the lower void panelled in, again with the tidy looking panels.
An ebay search brings a few full sheet sized panelling kits being sold, and although they give excellent protection (probably more than I need, they look crap.
Say I buy the 'Trend', are the full individual panels available from Ford as a kit, so panels, screws and holes plug fixings, etc?
My plan I guess will be to carpet line each individual panel if obtainable..... but that will be another chapter. :-D

Not on a mk8 but seen the standard Ford panels with holes thro them if u are going to carpet line them that will make the eBay ones look good if done right and maybe cheaper but knowing the way Ford work out prices I may be wrong
