Hi im new to this forum ive seen a few posts on mk 8 security and have mentioned to my firm that the leased 15 plate transit ive just been issued with is vulnerable for both my tools and there stock. But unfortunately the lease company wont let me modify the vehicle or add any security measures and suggest that i just empty the van every night ,which is impracticable .my question is therefore if i purchased the modified drivers door lock from fleabay and fitted myself would that a...give me some peace of mind and b... when i have to return the van can i just refit the original lock

Yes :)
A couple of stickers in the quarter windows stating alarm and even a DiscLock for the steering wheel are all good reversible/removeable measures when it comes to handing it back. :)

Put a disc lock on mine bit of good luck been following Punto443 xr3i rebuild and remembered I had one on mine as it was to small to put on mk3 transit got slung in the loft as mk8 steering wheel is smaller it fits that’s a result thanks Punto :D
