Naff Heater

Postby Dr Fettish » Tue Dec 12, 2017 9:04 pm

Evening all transiteers,

I have my trusty MK6 Transit and in this cold weather the heater starts to work within one mile, now my new 64 plate MK8 can take up to 5 miles even tho the temp gauge is on normal, any ideas??

Thank you in advance

Mine starts to heat in less then a mile, i say you have something wrong. The ac isn't coming on at the same time is it?

Hi Damien,

My new steed doesn’t have AC, I think I’ll run it for a while and see how hot the pipes get that run into the heater matrix, to see if they’re ok and go from there.

Does your water coolant gauge take long to start moving? Cause you may have a stuck open thermostat, i had to change mine as it was opening earlier than it should.

Hi Damien,

The gauge, when it does start moving, does so very fast but it sounds like a plan to change it anyways.

Cheers
