Been looking at replacing our 2015 mk 8. Its a 290h2 l2 with the 155bhp engine. Been told now that the 130 is the biggest they will do without going upto a 310 or 350. Find this strange that yhey wont so the 170 in this van now.

Does it make much difference getting a 310 or 350?

Personally I always go for the highest rating, what's the advantage of a lower gvw?

You could always get the 130 remapped to 170.

Go for the 310 or 330.The mk8 is a relatively heavy van anyway, so your load carrying capacity will be very limited with a GVM of 2900 kg.

And yes go for the 155 engine. I find it quite adequate, so I think I would feel the van was under-powered with anything else.

One thing - only what I heard but all the engines are exactly the same bar the software map, hence you may be able to save a lot of money by buying the lowest power and getting a remap right up to 200 bhp... http://www.ecovehicletuning.co.uk/vehic ... 4/stage-3/

I would definitely get this verified as correct before making a decision though!

Martin vantuner recommends 190 max on a Panther.
Considering I've got a 170 stock, it doesn't seem worth getting done.
Maybe I'll do it when the warranty is out.
