You nailed it, Mike - it does look more like a head unit. As I said, it works well enough, but looks as if I stole it from a Focus :)

Do you think it's worth the money, does it save playing with the HVAC controls?

I'll have to get back to you on that once I've used it a bit more. It does involve a lot less work than the manual unit, which I was constantly fiddling with, but for the moment - and this is purely subjective and unscientific - I would rate it as a £250-300 option in the ford.co.uk configurator.

Hopefully it'll become a factory option in the 2015 MY vans.

Here are the pictures of the parts i had to cut away. You also have to delete the two upper mountings were the old panel was attached.

Sorry, for those who noticed, picture 1 and 3 had to be the other way around.

Had mine installed. I have to say that the whole panel sits on bit weird angle, faceing more the passanger than driver, but otherwise Im happy, hopefully it eliminated the small aux heather issue I had where it did not heat the cabin

Hello,

what issues du you had with the auxiliary heater? When the car is shut down, only the fan control is working. The flaps for warm and cold and up and down are not working. So I have to switch it to hot before I shut down the car.

Please report if it is different with the auto ac.

Thank you also for the picture.

Kind regards
Rossi

As I said, it looks as if it were meant for another model. Works fine, though, and that's the main thing.

I if course noticed something - for some reason the system switches itself back to 22c even when driving

The wife has the unit in her Focus although it is the Dual zone version but they are in most of the cars. I had an cheap eco b-max on loan for a day when the van went in and that had one in as well
