difference between 310 and 330

Postby BringTheRain » Sat Nov 01, 2014 12:01 am

I currently have a 310 swb, was just wondering how they make the 330 carry the extra weight?

Does anybody know? I know the gear ratio's are different, but was wondering how they actually do it.

Better suspension?

I was reading up on wheel sizes yesterday and it looks like the 330 and sport have bigger brakes. I wish that had been an option on the 310.
Iirc they are taller than the 310 so probably different suspension as well.

330 will have bigger brakes, stronger springs and dampers, bigger tyres etc etc

And a different final gear ratio.
Sorry, saw that it already was mentioned.

I am guessing it would be costly to convert then (exc gearbox)

Can you get vans re platted? I know you can change GVW on lorries.

You can and it is easy to go down as there is nothing to change apart from a new plate showing the lower limits. To go up you will have to change the spec to reach the required requirements for the new proposed weight.

My 330 does 50mph at roughly 1300rpm, what do the others do if the ratio's are different? Just curious as mine seems very high geared.

Downrating is straight forward, uprating is not.
