Well the problem is fixed. Set the clock using the original radio and put the aftermarket back in.
Will post some pictures of the end result tomorrow.

On the mk7 when you had low spec clocks and you removed the radio the time would go to the clocks but there was no way to set the time lol so we upgraded the clocks and added stalk buttons job done, the custom has high spec clocks and also buttons, so isn't there the menu on there somewhere to set time when radio removed?

And a small subwoofer under the passenger seat.
Also the speakers in the doors were replaced by better ones.
And the van was fitted with an aftermarket alarm with tracking. The OBD port was also relocated.
