Wind deflectors

Postby King Dodo » Tue Oct 17, 2017 9:29 pm

Can anyone suggest a good brand or good style of wind deflectors for 15 plate transit custom? Looking to get some, but don't want to pay the earth for them.

I've got the Ford ones and they are Climair. They work really great - been on there 18 months and counting so far.

I brought the other make I forget what it's called sorry as iv got them on my mk6 they jam the window and won't go up properly there still in the box they have been there now for 6 months ,
buy the climair ones I wish I'd not wasted my money now and brought them instead
just follow the onscreen instructions and it's fairly idiot proof...trouble is, we keep producing better idiots

Iv'e got Team Heko on my custom, no issues

For info:

When installing and you get them in the channel pull the window up and leave it closed for at least an hour, don't leave the window down or keep pulling window up and down so the channel spreads internally a little to accommodate the extra width

Both the Heko and Climair ones can (and will) occasionally trap the window as the motor will sense an obstacle, just let it stop and try again, it can also be alleviated by a spray of silicon type spray in the channel if it keeps happening regularly

silicon is good as above... or gummi pflege.

Yes.. that is a product believe it or not!

Google it... it has loads of other uses and is particularly good for us custom owners. The back doors rely entirely on the rubber to seal properly and when it gets cold they never freeze. Makes the window slide nicely too.
