Today blew it out with 100psi airline :o then tonight I washed it with wax in a bucket and a house pipe then I used a clay bar I was given and some squirt spray stuff called bubble gum to aid lubrication.
Always a bit dubious of things like this but fair play it got rid of the tar spots and the remains of the signage residue (still wet so I'll see tomorrow) I did drop the clay on the floor a few times like, then it was a bit scratchy but me not being the type to give up I soldiered on till I finished the whole van. Can't wait to see the finished product in the light 8)

Clay bar you say :? Now I'm sure some forum member suggested a clay bar t'other year  if you get the cellophane from a fag packet and put your fingers in it then gently rub your paint work you can feel the difference between the just washed paint and the clay bar paint, the 2nd will be smoother then a smooth thing, I used to use Maguires clay bar and fast detail spray followed by autoglym high gloss super resin polish :D red will shine, shine like a star shining so bright like a star that's er been polished  N

And one more thing, did you keep kneading the clay bar every so often to clear the dirt off it. N

I tried but it was rock solid Lol, my custom is clear lacquered on top of red base so it shines like fook bit like looking into the sun

I'm sure the swirls will appear and the rust :-(
Looking in the rear and it looks like it has been in the Alamo with all the bloody holes in the floor :? Most of them are rivnuts but I don't know whether to remove the floor and sort the holes out with red hammerite and rubber gromets or what? :?

Done a little colour coding of the front bumper parts this weekend the van looks in a right sorry state. But should look good all put back together

Saw a warning message come up on mine, change engine oil  van is on production December 15, serviced at 4895 miles and now on 16500 miles.

30k service is it? I do a mix of sort runs and long(1 hour twice) motorway runs weekly.

Been meaning to get it serviced and a recall done but don't have the time, they don't answer the phone nob heads :?

Nah I want the Ford computer to show up as having the work done see, if I have to sell it then it needs to be full service history, not likely to sell it until 2040 when diesel has run out and anyone using a combustion engine vehicle will be sentenced to death by dredd if seen.

Booked it in for a security recall and to have a look at the dodgy wipers, and mainly a service as I want it on the history.

They said 16k is the interim check so that's free apparently but then he said it was 99 pounds for something Lol.

I said I wanted filters and oil doing but I don't think he wanted to do it as the interim thing didn't include it.
Dude the customer is always right isn't he/she?

Full service is 280+ but I can buy the service kit from Ford for about 80 quid so what gets done for 200 pounds? And more to the point, fook that I'll just keep receipts for the service kits, who looks on computer anyway :?

I'll do this first 1 then warranty runs out in December and it needs an mot.

Be a bloody tramps van then won't it :-(

Wouldn't it cost more there? Unless it's because my paperwork will come in English and Welsh?

I'll get it done this year and maybe the full service.

What made me laugh though is the guy said they'll check the oil and filters to see if they need changing.
