Don't know about the ratios though.

I have a LWB 110hp mk7 2 years old. I get 36 mpg. Mixed driving but mainly around town.
Had a custom loan van with 25k on the clock and only get 28 to 33 mpg SHITE! Its a SWB van, with stop start. My van is LWB with semi high roof WTF

Only got average mpg of 27 on an 80 mile motorway trip today cruising most the time at 75mph. Back on the A roads feels like this van is getting more gutless as time goes on :-(

After the worst MPG(27) on a tank I managed without really trying to get the best ever, still driving the same, not really trying to save the fuel, still using aux heather 5 mornings a week and still have wintertires. It felt like the van opened up after reaching 8000km. So I managed 35MPG, so Im happy, if it would stay the same or improve

It may come down to quality of fuel used, if dealers are telling to use specific brand. (I think one said BP?) Can you guys write about type of fuel you have been using and average MPG?

I am getting around 10-11 liters per 100km which is not so great but mine is just 1K kms on it and I am thinking to switch to Total Excellium Eurodiesel which is recommended by many people.

Diesel itself should not matter much as they usually come from same refinery but brands can add their own additives.

Ive tried total excellium and thought it was crap and certain total garages always seemed to give poor MPG results. I either use Tesco or esso.

I'm just using normal BP as that is what is just round the corner otherwise it is what I can get. Not doing to bad at the moment and a bit p****d off that I didn't reach 700 miles before the fuel light cam on but on the other hand the last 150 miles have been driving around the hills. Might have done it if I could have stayed on motorways.

Hi
I only have info on town and some country road driving (10%) with a 125 bhp Trend - 3500 miles on the clock. I get an indicated 28.5mpg and I try and press the accelerator evenly with a light to moderate load. I am extremely disapointed with this and the stop start I had added does not come into play with all the town driving.
I would not recommend this van to anyone if town work is the main area of driving. :!:
Hope this helps

I live in the hilly Cotswolds... My Custom has 400 miles on the clock and I've averaged 32.5mpg so far with my tools and cable etc in the back. I don't do driving like Miss Daisy either

I had a transit trend 2010 swb which from new did 45 mpg and 770 miles on full 80L tank with light load <50kg. I was pleased with this. I now have 2014 swb transit custom limited with 95L tank which does with similar load and driving pattern 40mpg and 740 miles on full tank. I find this very disappointing as I was expecting a much better performance from the new van. I am still hopeful that ford can solve these problems with the custom.

I'm taking my DCiV on holiday to south of France in three weeks: 5 up plus all a rear full of all the holiday kit so it will be a good test for its MPG on a long run with a fair load, I will post the results in due course
