We have a transit custom 9 mths old and the same is happening to our van. Firstly you can only put £10 in b4 it shuts off then it over fills and covers you and your van!!!?? It's been to fords and they said it was human error, so I told them to fill it in front of me and low and behold they got covered lol!!!! They have it again today to look at it again. They are going to put it back on the ramp and plug in the diagnostic machine. Will let you know the outcome. Also my sister has the transit jumbo 2015 and she can only limp £20-£25 pound a time in b4 it won't let anymore fuel in tank. Damn annoying when your a courier!!!!

not really sure that connecting a diagnostic machine is going to tell you anything. you're only pouring diesel down a hole. if you read through the whole thread you will find plenty of people having had this problem but if you read the sticker on the filler flap and follow the instructions it tends to work ok. if it doesn't you will have a blockage in your filler pipe or your tank.

Thanks for reply. Fords said the actual diesel pump has a sensor to know when a tank is full and for some reason it fails to work on the customs. Will see what they suggest today.

I haven't read all 6 pages, i saw the video clip, i never filled my van up but every time i put fuel in it dribbles down the usual place, I've tried waiting and wiggling and twisting the pump handle but it still does it

Probably creating a bubble or something? :?

There's no wiggling involved unless thats just you. Put the nozzle in, let the nozzle rest (so handle down and hole end up) in the filler, don't hold it up. Squeeze for fuel, let it click off, squeeze again for second click off and then leave for ten seconds before you pull out gently. It does work, i was always used to getting the last drop into the tank but the custom doesn't like it. just squeeze to 2 clicks only and thats it. also waiting the ten seconds as well as a lot of the fuel that comes out is from the pipe so pull out slowly

My initial try was the normal every vehicle I've owned fuel, finish, 2 seconds, quick wiggle then slowly remove.
That didn't work, so each time i tried it got more elaborate, in the end me hopping round the forecourt patting my head and rubbing my belly just seemed like overkill

I'll try waiting 10 seconds as you suggest but it's a bit hard when you've got birds waiting :?

Bloody capless, i bet it is because there's no open hole. :-(

i did the hopping around bit as well but that was just to get the diesel of my boots.. then i read the instruction and it says 10 secs wait. now the only belly rubbing is with the chocolate i get as a treat for not getting my boots wet.

I tend to use my hand the last 10 liters in order to decrease the flow.

When I got fully automatic at the highest speed it usually leaks out (if the lever for auto is legal in your country).
Don't think the backflow-hublahubla reacts quick enough if the flow is to high.
