Lowering the new Transit custom?

Hi, new to Ford and new to this forum

Im picking up my spankin new Sport Custom tomorow! first Ford ive ever owned:)

one thing thats bothering me is that the custom is very high from the ground, i mean you can put your head in between the wheel and fender.

Is there any lowered customs in here yet?

I agree the ride height is MASSIVE, especially at the rear, but I guess that's the price you have to pay for suspension that can take a tonne.

One question: how come you have the window in the bulkhead but no rear windows?

The vivaro/trafic can carry nearly as much as our transits (up to 300s) and they use coils on a solid axle. Better ridecomfort and nearly the same capacity.
Why did ford not go that way?

the arch's are so big,they only needed the front spoiler/skirts/rear trim which looks the mutts nuts......imo

Limbo transit, how low can you go.

My car 8 and 5, 5cm with my tools in it

If it comes more down you will get wery litle space under the towbar.

Yeah i have a same `problem` if anybody can do some lowering kit it would be nice, I am the first who bought it

Iam glad that finally somebody shares my idea. But Iam affraid that no one have some kind of lowering kit I think -30mm would be perfect. Please somebody made that thing

Back to the lowering of the van. Is it just the back you need to lower?
If you take a photo of the back suspension for me to look at and it uses leaf springs you might be able to put lowering blocks in like I use on my old anglia . We use 2 inch. 50 mm. And also used on the ford escort mk. 1 / 2

If I was going to lower it, which I wouldn't. Because I carry a fair bit of weight some days

The only route I'd go down would be the one lim black done. Have the original springs bent/reprofiled.

Your set up looks the same so you will need to put a block as you can see in the photo . The ubolts need to be the correct width and the block.
You do not need to change the ends of the springs.
I should be getting my van in the new year and be able to measure the width and spacing of the van ubolt if they are the same you can get one like mine or different heights of the shelf. Ford are good at keeping things the same over the years that's how I Can fit a 2004 focus engine to a type 5 gearbox ( rear wheel drive) and fit it in a 50 year old ford anglia
Getting replacement springs would be better if you can get them but if you use blocks you can pop them out if you need to go back to the dealer
