They said 16k is the interim check so that's free apparently but then he said it was 99 pounds for something Lol.

I said I wanted filters and oil doing but I don't think he wanted to do it as the interim thing didn't include it.
Dude the customer is always right isn't he/she?

Full service is 280+ but I can buy the service kit from Ford for about 80 quid so what gets done for 200 pounds? And more to the point, fook that I'll just keep receipts for the service kits, who looks on computer anyway :?

I'll do this first 1 then warranty runs out in December and it needs an mot.

Be a bloody tramps van then won't it :-(

So.....what’s the security recall....I have a2014 custom and just wondered what they do.

They stop the rear doors unlocking by use of the key in the drivers door.

You won't be able to get into the back of the van, except by using the remote.

That's a bit rubbish if your remote is interfered with by aliens
As is often the case
Can't you open them by key in ignition and press the button in the door ?
I've not had mine done just in case ..

There was a crafer few months back that the back wouldn't unlock
Tripehounds in there
Don't know how they got them out in the end
But you've not got long in this weather
Fire brigade probably cut the roof off

That's the problem with security, it usually makes it harder for the owner than it does for the tea leafs.

I don't trust only having remote access either

Crashed it at the lights, dosy cnut loot :?

Still, it'll remove any doubt as to whether my chassis leg repair was adequate,

Still took it to Ford, 250 notes for a service ffs.
Will cost me probs 250+ to repair it I think.

The car I hit had nothing at all on it, there were some age related stone chips in the lacquer which he said I did but I just said fair enough and see what he says he'll foo to the garage and get a quote for a quick blow.

Not really

I think it's just the number plate and lower grill tbh maybe the slam panel or the bar, the bumper joins are still good.

Nah it's cracked, bloody write off that van is :-(

Got to weigh up whether to call my insurance.

He is going to get a quote to touch up his car, if it is too much then he'll go through my insurance. If that happens I may aswell claim for my repair.

Although the mrs did similar and if she claimed they were going to put next year's up bit she never claimed and the insurance stayed the same despite the guy she hit still claiming.

What's that all about then? :?

Wots 2 do?

If you’ve got protected no claims on your insurance you should be fine if you do end up claiming. My proof of no claims says something like “1 fault accident ncd protected”

Guess it depends on what your excess is like as well
