narrow country lane, flatbed lorry coming the other way. traffic behind both of us. in the dark
he had something overhanging his flatbed which cought my drivers side wing mirror
smashed the painted cover off and shattered the mirror and back plate.
Mine is the heated and powered version.

dint get his plate number and couldn't turn round as too narrow, and traffic behind him. B****rd!

Shopping on fleabay to get new bits now.

Lol
about 50 quid for a fleabay read cover, primer and paint, and a new heater mirror and backplate.

Did see a complete new unit for 150 on fleabay (heater with motors for mirror position and folding wing) but still have to paint the back cover.

Ouch Gaz, hope the damage isn't too bad.

I fitted a new floor mat in the front and discovered mine doesn't appear to have the connector for the rear 12v socket. So it looks like i need an in-line fuse and some cable to make my own. Just got to decide if i want it switched and where to put a switch if i do.

Oh yeah, well I puffed myself up to my full height and pulled those plastic hub-caps off! Oh look, rusty axle ends..? What I need are those caps that push into the hubs and there are a gazillion of them on ebay BUT which one. The recessed part of the hub measures at 56mm. Anyone got any tips?
