Gr Nederbelg

Well I've got 2 plans available but I'll find out first and report back :D
Just figuring out fitting the system at the moment.

Great news.

I used a multimeter to find out if i could bypass the 240 ac input and I'm happy to report that yes i can 8)

So, it'll run off 12v and also still latches the on board relay.
Still some minor functions to work out though like adjusting the temperature as well as the 7 day timber functions.

The original circuit for urberspacher is 2 switches and a pot which looks very basic but having opened mine up i can confirm that for such a very basic looking device it is actually very sophisticated :?

So the thermostat uses a relay to switch the current for an electrical heating. That makes it a lot easyer then if it had triacs build in.
At which voltage runs the circuit? 5Volt?

This panel has live in neutral in to power it then live out and neutral out to the heater, it should be 240v but i bypassed it so now it runs at 12v in.

The relay on board also works at 12v so i think that since bypassing the 240v part then the secondary circuit is 12v.

So, at the moment we have 7 day timer auto, manual on off.
We also have WiFi control via the android or iPhone app.(but it only works when connected to my house router via the mobile app on WiFi-if it works to my van outside then that's kind of cool but I'll look and see if i can do it WiFi direct somehow?)

We don't yet have heating temperature adjustment and i see that the temp probe doesn't appear to make a difference when i heat it up the panel is staying at 17.5 degrees.

As it is though the panel looks smart and works as i wanted it to.
I only have the urberspacher basic control with on switch, off switch, temp control. No 7 day timer.

I'll add this and it'll give me wireless control and 7 day timber from home and look pretty and was only 30 pounds.

:o

Now then ,now then,,,,, this custom of mine right ,
It says it does 35 mpg right,
And the trampy old Mk7 said it said 38
But right , it goes to the same shows that the mk7 went to right setting off with a full tank
Scotland and Bristol way the mk7 had to have an extra 20 turnips of diesel in it to get home
But the custom doesn't :?
So don't believe what these dirty tramps tell you :D

Nice :-)
Mine are still new, bloody Michelin alpins :? Done 10k plus.

Anyway I washed red today :P nice and shiny, also put air intake vents in the front and side of the passenger seat well I managed the plastic trim but my home saw teeth disappeared before I even got through the metal  bloody Ford, clearly something wrong there
Also started fitting my timer for the heater :-) just need to wire it up.

Bolted my snapon tool box down, something very disconcerting about hearing it sliding about in the back unattended :?
