I get about 30.0mpg, its the custom kombi but i have removed the back row of seats for insurance/weight purposes, and to lessen the weight.

I've got it up to 30.4 after some trips up and down the motorway, and that is taking my foot off the accelerator whenever im going downhill !

Isn't the Custom a mighty big van when you always drive it empty? I bet a Fiat Panda does a better job to accomplish better MPG's.

Well since serviced mine is now doing 26.3, better than the 25.0 I was getting like. Carrying a rhino rack a set of trebles and a roof ladder don't help like and my tools in back.. Lwb 125ps

Since my last service, it felt that my van was more economical, so I started to measure again with an app. Before I was avareging 30-31MPG, now after 2100km and 4 fillups im doing 34mpg. Out of that 2100km I hauled a big trailer for 400km

I Asked about Gasoline few days later i get in in July 2015.
Now after 9 months i can show you my real data :

Image

9,48 liter for 100 km means 31Mpg ... veryveryvery far from what advertised as 6,6l/100km --> 47Mpg
i can understand to get a 40Mpg but 31 is a scandal.

For sure i don't drive at 90 km/hours on highway, but still not at 180 km/hour; i think 130 km/hour for a 2015 Tourneo Custom 2200 125CV born as a family van could be considered as a normal driving way.

My 2004 T5 VW Caravelle 2500 130CV get 10 l/km at 150km/hour and 80 at regualr 130km/h.

Some suggestion to get the >40 MPG

My 2.5l 130 hp VW t5 was advertised 6,5 l/100km. In my day to day use I never had better results than 10l/100km.
No, I repeat NO car manufacturer states realistic fuel consumption figures. So please stop acting like an ignorant ass!!!!!

You are driving a Custom now. That van is nine centimeters wider than a t5. If you want better figures, buy a smaller van!

They don't claim to offer 'realistic' figures, but they do claim that the figures enable you to compare models. It the comparisons the don't stack up IME.

Whatever gianvi. I'm not the one blindly trusting manufacturers fuel consumption figures. With those figures you are able to compare models.
Don't compare a smaller van with a bigger one and complain about the fuel consumption of the biggest.
