Yes, the dials are what I like least about the conversion, but it's the price you pay for the awesomeness of the rest of the van.

Although I just nock about in it! Just short trips 5 miles stop 10 miles stop 2 miles stop and so on. The dealer said I should wait until there is 2000 miles on the clock and it will get better, at the time I was complaining that it was only doing 29.8 miles to the gallon and now it's worse.
Before someone tells me I don't race around, and there's not that much weight in the back
Ford transit custom trend 125/290 long wheel base .

My 270 euro5 custom SWB Limited 125 engine at 3000 miles is now averaging 35.2mpg
Mostly stop start short journeys and the occasional 40 mile run.
I am still hoping for better.
The van is only light laden. (A few blinds not much weight at all )

Good to compare notes on this subject.

last 3000 miles at 29 mpg average. i do short stop start trips. 125 remapped, fair bit of weight on.

My friend has same van stock 125 and gets 32 but does more 30 - 40 minute runs daily.

I think they prefer and are geared up for cruising.... start/stop and going through the gears seems to drink the fuel up.

My L2H1 euro6 170hp at 1000 miles now is now averaging 31mpg. I never managed to go below 33mpg and in highway (flat) is:
- 25mpg @80 mph (130km/h)
- 23mpg @70 mph (110km/h)

I tried for only a couple of minutes to run @105mph in Germany (no speed limits :D ) and it was around 14 mpg (6km/l)

It is a Tourneo custom, with only 2 seats (no rear seats).
Is it normal or should I ask to my dealer?

L1H1 Base 290 Crewvan 100ps getting around 32mpg in town (Huddersfield so slow moving, stop/start driving and quite hilly) and about 41mpg on an the 2 empty runs to and from the Lake District.

Pleased with that tbh.

Don't bother with instantaneous mpg figures, they are meaningless really. I tend to work on figures between full tanks. Ave for me is about 35mpg on a decent length run.

I think that means no more than 80km/h :)

your wrong about that :D

when i am on the highway i run between 120 and 130 km/h . i also pull up fairly decent after red lights and all. :-) they must throttle hard with normal cars tot catch up.

van is always loaded with aprox 350kg in the back.

i have now 26.000km on it and van is almost 1 year old.

maybe if i must drive max in 4th gear on the highway, i get the same numbers... but when i drive with a loader behind with max on weight with concrete , my van will do 11km on 100km tha is around 26 mpg. and believe me, the van has to work very hard.

and those numbers are almost the same with your almost empty van... i would say , someting is wrong...

maybe the difference, my Custom is mine , yours maybe from your boss? so you race the sh*t out of it? :D also a common reason from people i know... :P
