Have you tried the window switch with door open, a lot of cars have this so you can do when leaving the car

Windows definitely loose power as soon as the ignition is off, opening the door does nothing. Pretty stupid design really!

Mine don't and they can be folded in all the time unlike the ones on the last sport van

Windows loose power... the folding mirrors do not.

The mirrors stay powered until system shut down (around 20 mins after switch off or locking).

Funnily enough I checked this today , the windows and mirrors stay powered with the key removed and the door shut, when you open and close it as though you have exited it ( I just opened and kissed the door while sat in it ) power was lost to the window

Was also thinking of fitting a relay to close the mirrors on lock,
And maybe another relay to open mirrors on unlock?

Yeah man that is correct a relay does the trick
You need a reed one really though check out loots thread all that stuuf is there

Got a 15 plate Custom, work van, want to do some adjustments to it to suite me, looking at possibly upgrading the inverter from 600watt to a more powerful 1 to have my own compressed plumbed in. 1 bit at a time though
