I don't think they have a cover on them. It looks like the metal arch has been carpeted. I have a Limited DCiV and it came with arch covers which I have carpeted so you can always go to a ford dealer and order some. Failing that look back through the old post and there was a thread somewhere. I vaguely remember someone saying the MK7 arch covers fitted.

Good stuff!

I see there are charger / inverter's available to so the battery is charged on mains hook up, I might invest in one of these. 8)

Hi,

I have just got a transit custom LWB and am planning on converting it. I have the factory fitted ply lining on the lower 1/2 I quite like the smaller panel sizes and would like to line the top 1/2 in the same way, rather than line the whole van from the floor up with one sheet. Did you buy the panels or cut them to fit?

I have a original double cab and I got the idea to use the tourneo sears for the double cab. What do I have to change to the floor to fit them. I have seen the seats on several sites like eBay but i need to know what I need for the floor. I want to make a bed in the cargo area that folds out over the seats but the original seat isn't foldable, not simple at least.

Is your van a base, trend or Ltd ? the reason I ask is because there will be differences in what you will have to do. My van is a ltd, there is less to do to one of these, this is what you need to do.
Remove the original DCIV bulkhead, rear seat , rear passengers MDF floor, and the bolt in mounts for the rear seat that are under the rear passengers MDF floor, make a new rear passengers floor panel that will meet and match to the cargo area floor out of 12mm ply or 12mm MDF, space it off the van steel floor to match the MDF cargo floor, before fitting it, carefully mark and drill the van steel floor to accept the bolts for the mounting brackets supplied with the new seats, it is very important this is acurite, as on some models there are captive nuts under the steel floor for the bolts the fix in to, but I do know not all models have them, If your van does not have them , and you are not sure what to do, then you MUST take some professional advice on it as the seat fixing is VERY important as in an emergency all the energy of the seat belts goes through these bolts..!! then cut holes in the new rear MDF/ply passenger floor for the mounting brackets to go into, assemble and trim out to suit, then drop the seats in, simple as that, couple of days work . as I have said before, the BOLT FIXINGS ARE VERY IMPORTANT...they are designed to save lives ..!!
One last thing, English Tourneo seats are different to European Tourneo seats, right hand drive U.K. left hand drive Europe.

One other thing that I forgot to mention when fitting Tourneo seats, it is sensible to to drop the fuel tank from the underside of the vehicle when you drill the floor for the fixing bolts, the tank is plastic and could get damaged if you drill to deep.

Ok, thx a lot for all the info, I'm gonna take a look at the other post also.

I do not think I have a problem with the European or English seats, I have two sliding doors and the bed I am planning is coming over the seats that's why I need them folding.

BTW. I have a swb 270 limited.

Unless you are good at it I found it easier to pay to get it done. Get it done professionally, you'll get a better finish. Don't forget, these boys are usually doing all day long. This cost me £500. Ply lined, Insulated and LED lights. It would have cost about £150-£200 for materials if I had done it my self plus the time. This way I dropped the van off for the day, picked it up and it was done.

This looks excellent yasser who done it mate ?
