I stuffed recycled bottle insulation in all the cavities in my old van.
Toasty. Although the stuff i extracted from inside rear doors was soaked around the edges ! Dont pack it too close to edges !
Was bone dry inside mind, so Well worth doing!

That's entrance matting. Any carpet shop should do it. You might even get it in B&Q.

Hi, thanks for comments, headling i made out of 3,5 mm ply. made templates of edges with offcuts first, carpet is like veltrim i bought a big roll off ebay a while back have lined a movano out of it too, used veltrim in dark colour for bottom of doors and overcab, i have a removable bed which fits between both side racking just need time to finish it off. i know hi roof dont look as smart as low roof but suits my needs better.

Well today i made a start to insulate the inside of my van, I ended up purchasing x4 rolls of the foil bubble and x3 rolls of the recycled plastic insulation, for the vapour barrier i also got a roll of polythene.

Work in progress...

Once all the insulation has been installed i will attach the foil bubble to the rear of the after market ply for an added layer.
had a measure up of the one piece ply board i removed from the side section and its actually larger than 8x4, anyone know where i can purchase the same 3.5mm ply to do the roof? would be ince if i could fix it into place in one section.

HI.
Doing a great job , exactly as i did mine, i stuck the bubble foil to back off plywood, the roof is wider than the 1200 mm ply thats why i had to do mine in sections.

Did you cut your 8x4 sheet to make 2 sections (with a join)?
Tomorrow i will finish this off, going to use 3M double sided tape to fix the foil bubble to the roof sections - may even double the layers.

Unfortunately my van never came with the hardboard headlining so its going to be lots of measuring and cutting with the jigsaw
